The app
What stays on your machine
Speech recognition runs on your own computer using a model stored locally. Your scripts, your microphone audio, your camera video and your rehearsal reports are processed on the machine and written to your own disk. None of it is uploaded to Cuefyr, and none of it is sent to a third party for processing.
This means the prompter and the delivery report work with the network switched off, once the app and its language model are installed. If you want to verify that rather than take it on trust, disconnect and use it.
No account, no telemetry
The free version needs no account and no sign-in. Cuefyr does not run analytics inside the application, does not record which features you use, and does not send usage reports.
Checking for updates
When the app checks whether a newer version exists, it requests a small file from updates.cuefyr.com. Like any request to any web server, that request reveals your IP address, the time, and your installed version to the server serving it. It contains no script text, no audio, and no identifier we assign to you. This is the ordinary cost of an updater, and it is the only routine outbound request the app makes.
Downloading the language model
The speech model is not bundled with the installer, which is what keeps the download small. When you install a language, the app fetches the model file from Hugging Face, where it is published. That is an ordinary file download, so the host sees your IP address and which file was requested. It happens when you add a language, not continuously, and nothing about you or your script is attached to it.
Buying and activating Pro
Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. When you buy, your payment and billing details are collected and stored by Lemon Squeezy under their own privacy policy, not by us. We receive the order record, which includes your email address and the country used for tax purposes. We do not receive your card number.
When you activate a licence key, the key and an identifier for that installation are sent to Lemon Squeezy so that the licence can be checked and the device limit enforced. That exchange carries no script content and no recordings.
This website
Analytics
cuefyr.com uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and does not fingerprint visitors or track them across other sites. It reports aggregate figures such as page views and referrers. It does not build a profile of you.
Download counts
Each download link passes through a counter before it sends you to the installer. The counter records the time of the download, the country the request came from, and the referring site. It deliberately does not record your IP address, your browser user agent, or any cookie, so a download cannot be traced back to a person. We keep it because knowing whether a link produced downloads is the one measurement a small software business genuinely needs.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. As the infrastructure provider handling the connection, Cloudflare processes standard request data including IP addresses in order to deliver the page and to protect against attacks. That processing is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
Cookies
This site sets no tracking cookies and shows no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to.
Fonts
The site currently loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google in order to fetch them. We are moving these files onto our own domain so that this request disappears. Until that change ships, this line stays here rather than being left out.
What we never do
- We do not sell your data. There is no arrangement under which anyone pays us for information about you.
- We do not upload your scripts, audio or video.
- We do not use your content to train any model.
- We do not run advertising or share data with advertising networks.
How long things are kept
Anything the app produces lives on your computer for exactly as long as you keep it, and is deleted when you delete it. Download counter entries are retained in aggregate and hold nothing that identifies a person. Order records held by Lemon Squeezy are retained for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Your rights
You can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. In practice the only personal data we are likely to hold is an order record, since the app itself sends us nothing. Write to [email protected] and we will respond.
Children
Cuefyr is a professional tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will also be noted in the changelog, so a quiet edit is not possible.
